Advertise With UsNEW BERN, N.C. (WTVD) — A 9-year-old New Bern boy who was the topic of an AMBER Alert has been positioned safely, and his mom has been taken into custody, police said early Saturday.
Authorities mentioned Austin Ross and his mom, Amber Vest, have been noticed strolling alongside Neuse Boulevard. No additional particulars have been instantly launched.
Earlier, the New Bern Police Division had requested for the general public’s assist in finding Austin, who was reported lacking Friday.
Austin is described as about 4 ft tall, weighing roughly 50 kilos, with blond hair and blue eyes. He was final seen sporting a Carolina blue Spider-Man T-shirt, blue jean shorts and black-and-white Nike sneakers, together with a black-and-blue “Jurassic World” backpack.
Police mentioned the kid was believed to be with Vest, 45, who’s described as about 5 ft 4 inches tall with a medium construct, brown hair and hazel eyes. She was final seen sporting a purple shirt, blue denims, Hoka sneakers and a darkish blue beanie, and had braided hair on the time.
The AMBER Alert has since been canceled.
