He was a loving husband of 52 years, father, brother, and grandfather. He was a farmer and even after he retired was happiest on the garden mower taking good care of his yard. He had skills in gardening as nicely, particularly with roses and blueberries.
He was identified by most as a delicate large. He was a person of few phrases except you bought him speaking about one thing he actually cherished. He had a wry humorousness with nicely timed zingers. He did not discuss his religion a lot however his actions spoke volumes that he was a really faith-filled man. He was a devoted member of his males’s bible research group. He was a beneficiant man who helped individuals out any method he might. He had a love for animals and a particular method with them, all the time bringing house strays so as to add to the menagerie.
He might be missed however he leaves behind an exquisite legacy of affection, braveness, religion, generosity, a tough work ethic, and fantastic reminiscences for us to carry on to.
He’s survived by his spouse Judy, daughter Robin Buck with husband David, daughter Rebecca Davis, daughter Raven Chitalo, Joshua Chitalo, grandchildren Temwa and Mwata Chitalo, brother Sam Davis and Judy Cullipher.
He’s preceded in loss of life by his sister, Gretchen Davis and oldsters Charles and Minerva Davis.
Memorial providers might be on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Cotten Funeral house, positioned at 2201 Neuse Blvd, New Bern, NC 28560. Visitation begins at at 2:00PM, adopted by the Memorial at 3:00PM.
