CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – A New Bern man is in jail after deputies say they seized crack, marijuana, and cash throughout an investigation.
36-year-old Steve Cox Jr. is going through a number of felony expenses in consequence.
The Craven County Sheriff’s Workplace says that on Wednesday, the Neuse River Narcotics Job Drive executed a search warrant at 317 Liberty Road in New Bern after an investigation into the property.
Through the search, deputies mentioned they discovered over 14 grams of crack cocaine, marijuana, cash, and materials sometimes used for packing and promoting unlawful medication.
Cox, who deputies say lived on the property, was charged with felony possession with intent to fabricate, sale, and ship a Schedule II managed substance, felony sustaining a dwelling on the market of managed substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Cox is being held within the Craven County Jail beneath a $75,000 secured bond.
The Neuse River Narcotics Job Drive consists of the Craven County Sheriff’s Workplace, Carteret County Sheriff’s Workplace, New Bern Police Division, Pamlico County Sheriff’s Workplace, and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.
