Advertise With UsNEW BERN, N.C. (WITN) – A brand new mural in downtown New Bern is within the works, and designer Georgie Nakima is happy to provide the constructing a recent look.
“We wished to fuse a few of the totems and components that construct our group, and make one thing futuristic, colourful, one thing that might convey a constructive vibration to town,” Nakima says.
However the brand new design at 328 South Entrance Road has been met with some backlash from the group, because it was painted over the previous ‘New Bern Robust’ mural, a dedication to town’s survival of Hurricane Florence.
The Craven Arts Council says the mural was a collaboration between them, the previous enterprise proprietor, and the group.

The constructing is now owned by Deion King, by way of his improvement firm, King and Lasso. He says he’s excited for the brand new design and the which means behind it.
