Officers stated crews have been dispatched round 3:06 p.m. to a report of a barn on fireplace within the 1400 block of Spencer Avenue.
Officers stated the fireplace unfold from the barn throughout the rear property line, igniting yard fires at two residential models on Rhem Avenue behind the barn. A 3rd residence, situated two homes away, additionally caught fireplace and sustained roof harm. Officers imagine an ember from the unique fireplace could have sparked the third residence’s fireplace.
The barn is a complete loss, and the 2 residential models sustained important harm, officers stated.
Based on officers, the reason for the fireplace was an unattended sizzling plate contained in the barn.
Officers say all occupants have been in a position to evacuate safely and no accidents have been reported.
The American Crimson Cross has provided help to the residents inside the two residential models, officers say.
