On Monday, Harper made the trip to the state lottery headquarters to officially secure his winnings. Like all major lottery prizes, the payout is subject to mandatory state and federal tax withholdings. After the required deductions were processed, Harper walked away with a lump sum of $72,018.
When asked about his immediate plans for the newly acquired capital, Harper kept his goals practical and grounded, noting that he intends to use the funds to take care of outstanding household bills.
