The Critical Role of Manual J Sizing in Coastal NC
An oversized HVAC system cools a home too quickly without running long enough to dehumidify the air, leaving your home feeling clammy and encouraging mold growth in ductwork. Professional HVAC contractors calculate system capacity based on Manual J load calculations, accounting for ceiling heights, window orientations, insulation values, and shade coverage from surrounding pine trees.
