Charlotte Rhone Medical & Civic Legacy: Honoring Craven County’s first Black registered nurse and North Carolina’s first licensed Black social worker, who led emergency relief after the Great Fire of 1922.
St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church: Established in 1866, later founding St. Cyprian’s Hospital in 1900 to serve Black patients across Eastern NC.
